To minimize the amount of traffic that is being sent from Windows 2000 servers, what services can be disabled without jeopardizing the performance of the server? I know there are several services that are set to Automatic by default and i know not all of them are required

For example, some services that I *think* are not required are
Computer Browse
Distributed File Syste
Print Spoole

Am I right? What other services can I disable safely?

You'll find them in the Security Operations Guide:

Appendix B - Purpose of Windows 2000 Services
