too many programs running at start up

when I try to go to system Tools , System Information..I
get the message "msinfo32.msc not found" and I can't open
to configure my start up...., basically I have too many
things running at one time when I start up my computer and
my computer is slow..I can't get into my start up to
change this..any idea? thank you

Download MSCONFIG for W2K from MSFT (search their site for it), install it,
and your troubles might be over. Another tool that does a slightly better
job of swatting startup programs is Windows Startup Inspector (Google for
it).
