Win2000 too slow?

My OS is Win2000 Professional.
When I start my PC it takes 4-5 minutes to start. I think it is too
slow.
I don't have many programs on it so I can't understand why it takes so
long. Can you help me check why it is so slow?

Here are the main reasons why a PC can be slow:
- Slow CPU
- Insufficient RAM
- Demanding virus scanner
- Demanding firewall

A good starting point would be for you to post full details about
the above items. You could also disconnect your PC from the
Internet, then disable the virus scanner & firewall for testing
purposes.
