Win2000 Server SLOOW Boot

N

Nightwing

I am having a problem with a Win2000 Server. It takes 5 minutes to boot, I
am no guru but that seems bloody slow. Everything seems to works its just
slow. Does anyone have any Ideas?

In the event viewer. I am having a long list of Event ID 9 and 11's (IDE
Timeouts, controller failures). I have not been able to isolate the problem.
Microsoft refers to SCSI cabling or termination problems but my drives are
IDE.

Event ID 9s and 11s are not good ... they usually indicate hardware problems
(could be your controller).
