Too Many Problems

Hi,

I have an HP Pavilion a350n. About a month ago, the thing crashed and
wouldn't boot. When i tried system recovery, it would not extract files. I
got the HP recovery disks, it still wouldn't extract files. I have tried
using Windows XP startupdisks to fdsk, but it gets to the 2nd disk and says
"File \ntkrnlmp.exe could not be loaded. Error code is 7" so I can't get to
a prompt to do an fdsk. I also get the error message "Windows could not
start because of error in software. load needed DLLS for kernel".

HP's solution for this error is renaming kernel32.dll to kernel32.bak but my
system doesn't find kernel32.dll. Someone please help. I'd really like to
format the disk but can't figure out a way to get a prompt that will let me
do it. This thing is driving me crazy.

I suppose I could, if I had one. HP's come with recovery disks so they don't
give you windows cd's.
