too many iexplores in close program box. and low resources constantly

I AM HAVING A LOW RESOURCE PROBLEM AND I DON'T KNOW IF IT
HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE FACT THAT I FIND THAT IF I
OPEN THE CLOSE PROGRAM BOX, I FIND AS MANY AS
19 "IEXPLORE" IN IT. IS THERE SOMETHING CAUSING THAT MANY
TO BE THERE ? WHAT CAN I DO TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM ?
