Iexplore msg

For the last few days, when I shut down Explorer, I get an
error msg that "Iexplore has caused an error in
KERNEL32.DLL Iexplore will now close. If you continue to
experience problems, try restarting your computer" The
problem is that no matter how many times I close this box,
it remains open. I am then forced to restart the computer.
Also, when I first went to MSN this morning to look for
help, Norton AV detetected a trojan and quarantined it.Is
MSN one of the sites hit by the mystery bug? It is getting
to be a pain to have to restart every time I close out of
IE!
