caveman days?? Anyone who can help? Also the alt-F4 seems to kill minimized
windows, whaz the deal. any help would be appreciated

I don't know what you are doing wrong. Why don't you tell us what you are
doing and what you expect to happen and what did happen. Alt + f4 has always
killed minimised windows.

Click the Switch between windows icon in the Quick Launch Area or press Windows key + Tab if you have Aero and Flip 3-D

Hello ib,
Thanks for posting. From your post, my understanding of the two issues is
that:

1) ALT+tab doesn't work.
2) The behavior of ALT+F4 is unexpected.

I cannot address the first issue. I suggest contacting your hardware
manufacturer for assistance.

I might be able to help you with the second issue. The ALT+F4 keyboard
shortcut can either close the active item, or exit the active program. This
keyboard shortcut doesn't minimize windows as you expect it to.

For more information about keyboard shortcuts, see the following Windows
Help and How-to webpage:

As another community member already stated, depending on which edition of
Windows Vista you are running, you might be able to use Flip-3D. For more
information about this feature, see the following Windows Help and How-to
webpage:

http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/Help/ffab5395-d72f-420a-a04f-a309a2450eff1033.mspx

Please let me know if I can provide further assistance on this problem.
Sincerely,
Thomas
