to Sue Mosher, MVP: how do I send a disribution list e-mail and leave out some

I would like to use a distribution list to send to some
of the people on the list an e-mail. Is this possible?
(Of course, I would like the list to remain intact
afterwards.)
 
It's easy to do in Outlook 2003, which expands the DL on the fly, but not in
other versions unless you have Outlook set up not to send messages
immediately. Yet another reason I don't recommend DLs in general.
