A general comment--
It seems like MS staff comment from time to time on people's posts. In
general, i would just like to say that I am not very impressed with this
site. Very slow responses, if at all. I have solved many of my problems on
own in surely not most efficient way.
Take a look at my question about record counts in bcm, for example, which I
posted June 6.
I was very impressed with MS at Vista/Office 2007 Launch but user support is
really dismal.

Ummm... there is no staff for the most part. This is a peer-to-peer
newsgroup - users helping users. If you require a fast response call PSS and
open a support incident. Note that unless your problem is determined to be
because of a bug, that it will cost you a pretty penny.

Unless it's your first call for 2007, in which case it's free (and is free
for 90 days after that). =)

Also note that there is a separate microsoft.public.outlook.bcm group for BCM issues.

Thanks, Diane. Since making that general comment, I have had some helpful
responses to my issues--including yours.

Yeah, I guess in my naivete, I had thought one could email technical
questions to MS and get a response. When I tried that, the response I DID get
from MS was to point me to the places Diane Poremsky & you mention. The cost
factor of user support is something I hadn't counted on before purchasing
Office Pro 2007.

Most of the answers can be found in these groups - for free. But unless you
use search the forum or Google and find someone asked the same question
previously - the answer may not be fast.

You do get a couple of free calls within the first 90 days - but I would not
use them before doing research or asking here.
