To: field loads phone # instead of email address

I am using Outlook 2002. I imported my Contacts from
Outlook 2000 PST file. When I type in the name outlook
loads the phone number instead of the email address. when
i click the To: and the Select Names window opens I see
two entries per person, one with the phone number and one
with the email.

Any ideas how to fix this?
