To delete Windows Media Player 10?

How do I delete Windows Media Player 10 so that I can restore WMP 9? I want
to revert to the earlier version.

I am a dissatisfied ex-customer of MusicMatch Jukebox (MMJB). I fell out
with them over the lack of customer service. I've seen some posts from others
with similar difficulties. I love my portable MP3 (WMA) players. After I
upgraded to MMJB 10, I found that everything worked perfectly except that I
couldn't transfer music (WMA's), to my portables. MMJB's idea of helping me
was to provide links to very clear manuals with easy to follow steps. Which I
did. Which didn't help.

I hoped to work around the problem by downloading the latest Windows Media
Player (WMP) 10. Which I did. Which didn't help. However WMP does provide
better support than MMJB. Through WMP 's support pages, I found that WMP 10
comes with a new digital security feature- a new DRM- DRM 10. DRM 10
apparently is incompatible with older versions of DRM such as the DRM with
WMP 9.. So music downloaded to WMP 10 will not transfer to my perfectly good
portables which have the DRM's for WMP 9. (I suspect that MMJB 10 likewise in
selling me MMJB 10 forgot to mention that I would no longer be able to
transfer music to my portables because of some key change in the software
security.)

Now my question is how do I delete WMP 10 so that I can restore WMP 9? I
want to revert to the earlier version.

What you need to do is go into control panel /add-remover programs (at this
point tick Show Updates if using sp2, top center of window) and then remove
windows media 10. the pc will then ask you if you want to roll back to
previous version. say yes.

Worked great. After all that, now I'm actually beginning to like WMP 10.
After reinstalling 9, I found I was better off with 10 after all. So I
re-updated to 10 again. Your advice was right on the money. I appreciate it.
