.tmp files

Whenever I create WORD documents I end up with a bunch of WRL1220.tmp files
on my desktop. When I close the document, the .tmp files disappear. Can
anyone tell me what the problem is?

Thanks...Lisa

Nothing - thjat is the way Word works. When you open a document, it makes a
working file. It makes this file (generally) in the same directory in which
the document is stored/opened from.

You should use folders to store your documents.
