I am going to assume that you want individual times for each slide. To do
this: PPT 2003 or earlier.

Open the file and select slide sorter view (this puts all the slides on the
screen (or at least as many as will fit on the screen at one time.))

Right click on the first slide and then click Slide Transition. On the menu
that opens (and depending on the version of PPT you are using it could be in
a couple of different places but you should be able to find it OK) find the
Advance slide, Automatically after and the scroll time. Set the first slide
to the amount of time under Automatically after when you want it to advance.
Click the second slide and do the same, then the third, all the way to the
end. When you click on the next slide the time selected will automatically
be placed on the slide you were just working on. The time will appear below
and on the left edge of the slide thumbnail.

The problem you may run into is if you have animations on individual slides.
The transition on the slide may override the animation.

Don't forget to save the presentation after all slide times are set.

PPT 2007 - a lot more involved. Still Slide sorter view, click Animation on
ribbon. All way to right is transition time. Have to select Automatically
after each time and also set the time each time. A lot more mouse clicks in
the newest version. (I tried in compatibility mode, but not the default
mode of '07 PPT. That may work differently.)
