How can you change the timing on only one slide?

I use the rehearse timings feature to ensure that each of the slides is
displayed long enough to be read thoroughly. However, it never fails that
after I have reviewed the timings, I have one or two slides that need an
extra second or two. How can I add time to just that one slide instead of
having to run the rehearse timings option on the whole slide show all over
again?

go to the slide, that needs more time. Go to "Animations / Transition to
this slide / Advance Slide - Automatically After" and change the seconds.

Or if you use 2003 go to "SlideShow / Slide Transition / Automatically
after" and change the seconds there.

Donna,
Go to the slide transition task pane, select your slide in the outline view
on your left, next to Automatic transition at the bottom of the task pane,
increase or decrease the timing. Now click on another slide and come back to
the changed one. The timing should be changed.
