Timer shutting down my computer

When I log into Windows, I am getting about 1 minute before a timer pops up
in the corner of my screen and shuts down my PC after it expires (about 1
minute). Any ideas what this is and how I can disable it???

Get yourself a good anti-virus utility and activate a software firewall
(included with Service Pack 2 -- SP2). Keep these two utilities installed and
updated.

Your PC is the victim of a virus like the MS Blaster worm.
