timed out on one server

I'm using XP professional and all was well until today. For whatever reason
I am unable to ftp or view my own website, though everyone else can.

Obviously the trouble is on my end. How does one convince the PC that there
is NOT a DNS problem. Ping, tracert and telnet is always timed out. I can
view all the internet, but my site is apparently off limits.

Not a techie, need help
 
Have you tried to flush the DNS from your machine?
From a command prompt type: ipconfig /flushdns
