time zone change for Terminal Server

C

CAMC1

Hi,

I have a few users who use Terminal Server Application mode to access our
LAN from outside. (I had changed the time zone and clock on this server to
new one)

All users who login to Terminal Server, show the correct time on the task
bar, except 1 user when loged in, time has not changed

I thought it has something to do with user profile, so renamed profile, had
user login, but no change

Anyone have idea?

Thanks
MC

In the XP-2003 versions of the Remote Desktop Client there is a check
box for Remoting the TIMEZONE of the workstations to the TS session.
I thought it has something to do with user profile, so renamed profile,
had
user login, but no change

There used to be a dialog box in RD Client which showed all the redirection
or remoting options in a single set of (8?) check boxes but on a current
XP or 2003 computer that isn't what the dialog looks like (here) anymore:

Remote Desktop Client->Options->Local Resources

(Don't remember what version of the OS XP? had the other format of that
dialog box for remoting Time zone, smartcard, printers, etc.)
From Technet:
http://technet2.microsoft.com/Windo...d5ce-4e71-aba6-3d3a5d3440b11033.mspx?mfr=true

<<Time zone Only configurable by using Group Policy.
By default the session time zone is the same as the time zone of the
terminal server. This can be an issue if you are using Terminal Server for
remote or mobile users, especially when your line-of-business applications
(for example, financial applications) have time dependencies. >>

If the time zone is remoted (as described in that page) ...
http://technet2.microsoft.com/Windo...d5ce-4e71-aba6-3d3a5d3440b11033.mspx?mfr=true

....then the CLIENT time zone being wrong will account for the discrepancy.

Sory, forgot to mention, we use windows 2000 Server SP4 Terminal Services. I
looked at Termina Services Client Config, RDP settings, did not see anything
I could relate to time or time zone settings
