time to complete - increments forever

I was having trouble saving (have XP and the right version
of the dll) so i cut off some content from the back. Now
it's stuck estimating how long it'll take to save. I
killed it after 17000 minutes. Any ideas? This is just
pictures (a few hundred) and music
