Time saving tips needed with application of Master in PowerPoint 0

As a bit of background, I often get large training presentations sent to me
that require changes to fit our corporate style guide and template.

When I apply the corporate template it doesn’t seem to affect the text
formatting of the slides. If I right click the slide (in the left hand slide
viewer) and select 'reset slide' the slide will then change formatting to
reflect the master. Why doesn’t this just happen automatically when I apply
the master? Whilst I can select all the slides at once and then 'reset' I
still have to go through individually to autofit text, even though I have
selected automatically autofit title and body text.

Any ideas how I can save some time and have my slides look like the same as
the master I’ve applied?

Thanks,
Corinne.

It's because the persons editing the slides before you made formatting
changes to the individual slides that "disconnected" them from the layouts.
These persons have also probably turned off the autofit on the placeholders
individually so unfortunately you'll have to turn them back on individually.
You might want to talk to the persons doing the editing.
