Was this change due to daylight savings?
Are you connected to any ntp server?

Welcome to DST.

You must not have lived where you had it,
as here in AZ.

You must not have installed the update that corrects for the new DST
dates

Go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs. Check
the upper box that says "Show Updates". Remove Windows XP Hotfix KB933360.
Download KB931836 and KB933360 from Microsoft. Install KB931836 and then
KB933360. Fixed the problem for me.

Nope. Here in the USA, DST now ends at 2:00 AM on the first Sunday in
November. Where to you live?

Nope. MS made a change to XP earlier this year but some people
didn't install the update so Daylight Savings Time turned on and
off on the old dates.

Well if you're in the UK that was correct, end of summer and all that <g>
Joan
PS: What summer you may say <g>

H***, it's still Summer here! <eg>

Sorry ALL, I haven't been checking the forums lately, Yes it was the patch
not installed on all the pc's

I'll also mention that microsoft's time server hasn't worked in ... a long
time, so to have the CORRECT time, open your clock, click on the Internet
tab and in the SERVER box, type

time-b.nist.gov ,, then APPLY

or pick a server near where you live.
The ones that CAME with XP ( and vista ?) don't work anymore. And
APPARENTLY they have no intention of fixing them ( I thought would have
been part of DST update)

Here's a list of the servers:

http://tf.nist.gov/service/time-servers.html

enter one of those names in there.
Check the box to sync your pc to the server automatically.
