No responses to this op below?? I have heard some folks say that the video
displays I refer to below do stuff that PowerPoint just can't do. Does
anyone care to challenge that claim? Some folks claim that it is a QNX
system. Some folks claim that Tim Horton's use a direct feed data line from
a central office ot update local small store server machines to drive the
video displays.
Anyone???

Does anyone know *who* and *what editing tools* are used to design those Tim
Horton's slide-show presentations featuring their products seen in retail
outlets (on those large 20"x30" LCD displays) ?
They are incredibly clear, well designed, and a lot of the transitions and
animation features "taste" like PowerPoint :-)

As there are 5 Timmy's within walking distance from where I live, and I
visit them on a regular basis I'll ask the next time I'm in. I doubt very
much that it is a direct feed from the Head Office, as there are a number of
different stores in a number of malls in the area that have the same set up.

Thanks Michael,
There are 2 questions here:
- how is the content delivered?
- how was the content authored?
Maybe somebody can ask the support staff who comes in to service the
equipment and if you can have a peek at what the hardware connections look
like :-)
