tile windows

I'm trying to tile windows side-by-side in Vista (Ultimate 32). I'm using the
standard ctrl-click the two programs in the task bar and then right-click to
select tile side-by-side. This seems to only work SOMETIMES. It depends on
the two programs I'm trying to tile. Is this supposed to happen? Shouldn't
Windows control this action regardless of the programs being tiled?

Please advise.

Note: The two programs, specifically that I'm trying to tile are Firefox &
MS Money 2007.

No luch there, either. It does the same thing whether the windows are
maximized OR minimized. The MS Money window does what it is supposed to and
fills half of the screen, but the Firefox window shows up and almost fills
the screen (not maximized, but fills most of the screen). Any other ideas?

Yes, both are open. The Firefox window still will not tile.
