Unlinked Files Unlinked files are files that have no hyperlinks to them
from any of your pages. Files listed here may be orphaned files that you can
delete from your Web site by right-clicking the file name and choosing
Delete on the shortcut menu.
Be careful though, as it may show some items as unlinked, but you may not
want to get rid of them, such as a form confirmation page, or some scripts,
and so on.
That is incorrect (even if it's from the help files or Microsoft)
The unlinked files report shows those files that cannot be reached directly
from the Home page. It includes those files that are linked through
scripting.
The report will show how may links go to those files (from other "unlinked"
pages), and how many links those pages link to.
A truly unlinked page will have 0 links to it in the unlinked report -
except it will not record any links through scripting.
