TIA - Outlook can send but not receive emails ...

My MS Outlook is not working ... I need help; kindly suggest ways on
how I could make my Outlook send and receive email ...

Booted up my PC one morn and got a message saying "a harmful file has
been detected - do you want to delete ? ... of course I clicked the
delete button ... that's when the problem started ...

I have tried repair, uninstall, reboot (after repair; after uninstall
....) and still it doesn't receive emails - I am able to SEND though
.... have also ran Test Account Settings and each time it passed
successfully ...

Activated Outlook Express and darn, OE is able to send and receive
emails ... confirmed, for me at elast, that it has nothing to do with
settings or I.T. access ...

Any ideas ?

Much, Much Appreciated ...

Try removing and reinstalling your mail account in Outlook - something may
have tried to change something that you can't see. Starting fresh sometimes
help.

unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without

After furious head scratching, (e-mail address removed) asked:
