thumbsdb. icon

I downloaded some pictures in jpg.form to a folder. The icon Thumbsdb.
appeared in the folder. After I transfer the pictures to a CD I will delete
the pictures but is it safe to delete the Thumbsdb. icon? Also what is the
best option ( jpg. image, etc.) to download pictures to later be transferred
to a CD. Thank you!

If you delete the thumbsdb then it won't show thumbnails, your choice.

It's safe to delete.

The file is used for thumbnail view. If you delete the pictures but keep
the folder, the file will rebuild automatically when you add new pictures
to the folder.
