An ongoing problem I thought might go away with FP2003 & Windows XP, but is
still there.
All my webs have "hidden" files called "Thumbs.db", which I don't want to
publish to my servers.
I have to login live and remove them manually.
Has anyone discovered a way to get rid of them completely & permanently from
"My Documents, My Webs"?
TIA;
Gord

Avoid open the folders containing your web outside of FP, in Windows Explorer or My computer.

Thanks Thomas, and I thought of that too, and the strange thing is I never
have any occasion to open "My Webs" in Explorer, etc., only in FP.
I managed to get rid of them by doing a global search of "My Webs" for the
database file & deleting them all. I also went into the properties of the
"My Webs" folder & changed it from "pictures" to "documents". That might
have been the problem. I'll wait & see if they come back.
Thanks - Gord

You can right click on them in FP Publish view and mark them as Do Not
Publish and they won't go to the server.

In Windows XP you can prevent their creation:
In Windows Explorer, use Tools->Folder Options
In the Advanced settings area, under Files and Folders tick the box "Do not
cache thumbnails"
Click OK

This option may not be available on other Windows' versions.

No they are not
