Thumbnails wrong

How do I correct the thumbnails in a picture folder? All
the pictures show up with thumbnails. Once you double
click on the icon to open the picture though, it is a
different picture then what they thumbnail was.

Highlight all the thumbnails, right click, and choose refresh thumbnail.

Try deleting the thumbnail cache file: "thumbs.db" in that folder.
