Thumbnails don't match photos

I came across a problem in Windows Explorer, some of my thumbnails don't
match the photos they go with. You see one thing as a thumbnail and a
different photo opens in Picture and Fax Viewer. I've been trying to figure
out how to get them to match, but can't find any thing in the KB. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!!

Sometimes going to View / Refresh will solve
this issue.

Another possible is to delete the Thumbs.db
file from the offending folder. If you cannot
find the Thumbs.db file you'll have to open
a folder and go to...Tools / Folder Options /
View tab...Tick..."Show Hidden Files And
Folders" / Apply / OK.

Also you might have to create a new folder /
copy all the image files into the new folder.

Thanks for the info. The 3rd solution did the trick!
For some reason it happens when "loose" pictures are dropped into a top
level folder containing other folders. For example: My Pictures > containing
- Birthday Folder, Christmas Folder, etc. + loose Vacation pictures =
incorrect Vacation thumbnails. But My Pictures > containing - Birthday
Folder, Christmas Folder, etc. + New Folder containing vacation Pictures =
Correct Vacation thumbs.

Any idea why?

Thanks again!

You're welcome. Thanks for the update.

Why? I have no idea.
