Hi

I have a weird problem

I am running XP Pro and when I view jpg's in "Filmstrip" view, some of the
thumbnails on the bottom of the screen do not match
the picture that is displayed when they are selected.
The thumbnails are of pictures in the folder but when I open them in Photo
Editor they
display the same picture as that shown in the large view in Filmstrip.
Any ideas on what could be causing this?

thanks

Daniel

in explorer, open folder containing the images in question, then

1. Edit menu, Select All, File Menu, Refresh Thumbnail

OR

2. unhide files in explorer, locate and delete 'Thumbs.db' (.db extension
may not be shown), close/relaunch explorer

OR

3. if many folders have corrupted thumbnails, then a simpler solution would
be to wipe-out all thumbnails and Windows will simply re-generate them the
next time you open a folder(s) containing images/videos/etc

to do this, at the command-line, type/enter (exactly as shown):

del c:\thumbs.db /f /s /q /ash

the above command will wipe-out all thumbnails on drive C:
yes, it's perfectly safe to do this, and no, it does not delete your
pictures

alternately, you can execute the above command from Start menu | Run | press
OK, if you're not familiar with the command console (DOS Prompt). i've
assumed the pictures and thumbnails are on drive C:, if not, simply
substitute the correct drive letter in the above command
