Thumb drive not accessible

I am having a problem with my Pqi 1GB thumbdrive. I haven't used it in a
while, but when I tried to plug it into my desktop, it's not recognized. I
can see that it's there, but it shows zero space used, zero space available.
Autoplay scans it, but then it suddenly stops. Another device is recognized
without any problem.

I tried uninstalling the device from the admin side, and then scanning for
new hardware. It saw the device and started installing, but failed. The
error code was 10.

I had previously used it on a laptop, and didn't have any problems. Now I
can't access it from my desktop.

I can see and read the data from Knoppix (yeah, yeah), so I know it's there.
The device itself doesn't seem to be damaged, it just can't be accessed by
XP.

Any ideas?

Thanks, I'll take a look at those links. Just to make things more confusing,
I tried it on the WinXP stations at the library, and I was able to access the
drive without any problems. I guess I can narrow it down to something wrong
with my PC.
