Thumb Drive does not Auto play

I have a USB Thumb Drive which used to Auto Play when inserted into port. But
now it does not. It does in other computers, but not mine.

I have tried every thing I can think of to get it to Auto Play. It works
great. I can put any kind of media into my DVD/CD rom drives and they will
Auto Play, but not the thumb drives. I looked in Drive Management and it is
reconized, has been assigned a Drive Letter.

Any Ideas

Plug the drive in your PC

Open My Computer

Right click over the Flash Drive icon and select Properties from the menu

At the top, click on the autplay tab

Select "Prompt me each time" or set your preferences for each file type.

Good luck

Check out if under drive types 'removeable' is checked
and under drive letter the letter of the thumb drive.

The URL points to little tool that can change some
Windows settings for autoplay. These settings are
the key to make you flash drive autoplay again.
