"Through specified account" rule not working

I am using outlook 2007 and set the through specified account rule to move emails that are sent to a specific address to a folder for that address. I can't get it to work. It's not an upgrade either and I tried running it manually. Any ideas?

You're confusing mail address and account. They're not the same thing. You
can have more than one account with the same address (i.e., mailbox)
associated with them all, which means Outlook can receive any given message
through any one of the accounts and sometimes more than one. How many
accounts do you have defined?

Your right! I only have 1 account but several email addresses. How do I set it up so that the mail will move to a specific folder depending on the email address that it is sent to?

Nevermind. I did set them up as accounts. If I go to tools then account settings, it shows every email account I set up. I have 4 email accounts.

Create a rule that moves the incoming messages to separate folders using the
"with specific words in the recipient's address" condition, where "specific
words" is the portion of the address you wish to use for distinguishing the
incoming messages.

OK, then, the next question is are the mail addresses associated with these
accounts aliases of each other? I.e., do the messages sent to these
addresses all wind up in the same mailbox on the ISP's mail server before
you download them?
