Three-way audio conversation

Can messenger support an audio conversation with more than two parties, a
"party line" as it where (dating myself, aren't I!)?

As Mike has already informed you, this functionality isn't currently available in Messenger.

However, some alternative programs that will do this for you -- Skype (http://www.skype.com)
or Yahoo Messenger (http://messenger.yahoo.com).

Hm... a pure SIP-compatible Messenger with 3-way or more voice conversations, I can't think
of any off hand.
