Three "Contacts" listed in dropdown list

Using Oulook 2003. When composing a new email and clicking :"TO", Select
Names appears with 3 CONTACTS listed - only the 3rd contains my contacts.
How do I remove the other 2?
When Select Names appears, I get the error message that I have to cancel
out of and select the third CONTACT for my list to display. This is the
error message:
"The address list could not be displayed. Contact folder associated with
this address list could not be opened, may have been moved or deleted or you
may not have permission".
Also I have just created a new profile in order to remove the duplicate
Personnal Folder and have been successful. I have several subfolders in
contacts - is there a way I have them all listed in SELECT NAMES without
going back to properties for all of them?

Whenever you change data stores you must tell the Outlook Address Book what
you've done. It already told you that. It told you it's looking for folders
which you've removed.
First make sure you've enabled your current Contacts Folder as a email
address book in its properties.
Then remove the outdated references to previous Contact Folders and add the
correct one here:
Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or address
books > Outlook Address Book > Change. >

And make sure you restart Outlook for the changes to take effect.
