This system does not support fullscreen mode

I am trying to run an exe file from HP that will make a bios upgrade floppy.
When I run it, it opens a 16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem window and then I get an
error message showing the file and its path I am trying to run, with the
error message: "This system does not support fullscreen mode. Choose 'Close'
to terminate the application.". Then I can choose "Close" or I can choose
"Ignore" and when I have hit the ignore button three times it exits anyway.
Anyone got any idea what the problem is?

Yes, Vista does not support full screen (DOS-like) command windows, which
that app is apparently set to run in.
You can fiddle with a shortcut to see if you can adjust the properties, or
run the app on an older version of Windows.

Since it is only floppy operation you may want to google `dosbox`. then
once dos box is loaded just type..

mount c c:\your folder
mount a a:\
