"This page cannot be displayed" message

I have set up one ADSL and one dial up connection on my
laptop, both to different internet service providers.
If I use the ADSL connection I can open a web page with
internet explorer.
If I use the dial up connection "This page cannot be
displayed" message is displayed when trying to open
internet explorer.
Can anyone please help. Thanks.

Kurt, it could be that when you're using your dialup provider, you're not "authenticating" (or connecting by verifying username/password). With DSL, there's probably a connection that automatically verifies your username and password. With dialup, you may just want to check that you have the icon in your systray (by your clock) that looks like 2 small computers - that is a quick way to see if you're connected. If you don't see that, then open up your dialup connection and try to reconnect, then test your webpages. Hope this helps! GL to you
