On start-up, this message is displayed but randomly i.e. not every time. Any ideas what this refers to ? And is it OK to block shdocvw.dll from installing ? I am running Windows XP SP2 and Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta build 1.0.509 with Definitions version 5693.

This is a requires windows file so it should be
allowed,It must be a bug in the antispy if it doesnt
recognise its own file but i dont know of any malicious
files that use this so i would allow it to install and
then you will not receive this message again.

File description: Microsoft Shell Doc Object and Control
Library

shdocvw.dll is a library used by Windows applications to
add basic file and networking operations.

Hope This Helps

I do not have an option which would allow me to install the file - all I get
is the notification message which pops up and then goes away.
