MS-AntiSpyware ver 1.0.509 (Beta 1) failed to remove spyware.

Unsure if Microsoft intended this (Beta 1) Antispyware
version not to be fully functional, and so to find, but
NOT REMOVE the found spyware, but this is exactly what
has happened on my machine.

Detailed scenario:

Occured on following System/Software:

System: Intel Celeron D 2.66 GHz, 256K L2 Cache, 533MHz
FSB, 256MB DDR SDRAM, 60GB hard drive.

Software:
OS Name: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Version: 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600 in
conjunction w/ Microsoft AntiSpyware ver 1.0.509 (Beta 1).

Found following spyware on system via MS-AntiSpyware ver
1.0.509 (Beta 1):
wcpsvtr.exe at C:\windows\system32\(wcpsvtr.exe).

Comments:

-The "Intelligent quick scan" never even
found "wcpsvtr.exe" to begin with.

-"Full system scan" did find "wcpsvtr.exe" but did remove
it as stated in this new message title here, even when
requested. MS-AntiSpyware also said that it DID remove
it via a popup but did NOT as observed by continuing
annoying pop-ups.

-Also, within this very newsgroup I tried pressing and
holding the F8 key to no avail what-so-ever

-Finally, I searched for the file to hand delete file
wcpsvtr.exe using the directory path it told me it was in
but could no longer find "wcpsvtr.exe". Why could I not
see the file on the C:\ drive and delete it?

Any dialog questions/comments/help to add would be
wonderful.

Thanks.

I fixed the same problem by going into safe mode and
running a full scan in the avg antivirus. I did one in
the antispy too. But it showed the problem was still
there. But then the next day when i did a scan normally
i had no problem deleting the file. Now it shows there is
nothing detected. I think it worked. Maybe it will for
you too.
