Actually Microsoft takes compatibility seriously, from
what I have seen anyway. Most other OS's don't
accomodate backward compatibility and don't accomodate so
many different types of hardware. No software is perfect
though, and compatibility is one of the hardest things to
do, because it depends on other companies to follow a set
of standards and if they don't, folks blame Microsoft.
Nobody ever blames the makers of the Software/Hardware.
That was my comment - Millions of times a day, MS and compatible go
together. I find it amazing that it works so often and so well. Nobody
else does it. We just focus on the gnats sometimes.
