this document failed to print error on xp with HP 932c

Hi- I keep getting this error message when I try to print
anything. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the HP
software to no avail. The connections are good. The
system says my printer status is ready but then it fails
to print. I am about to give up but I need to print
resumes!! Any help is very appreciated.

Is this a printer on a network or a local printer?
