I am trying to scan my MF film using my old Epson Perfection 1200U scanner. I discovered there are several fine thin red line running across the scanned image. I opened up the scanner and clean the CCD. But after a few scan, the red line comes back again.
Is there anyway of overcoming the issue? Or the CCD is faulty?
An idea struck me when I am opening the Scanner. Can we just buy a better resolution CCD and fixed into the scanner? Seems to me that there are only a few circuit board in the scanner, and we can just replace the CCD anytime. If yes, where can we get the CCD?
