Hello,
I just bought a Dell Inspiron Laptop with windows vista home basic and
after seeing pictures of Chess Titans i wanted to play it. Unfortunitly it
was not in my games folder. I did that whole thing where you g to you control
panal and check games. All the other games showed up (i.e. solitaire,
Hearts, Free Cell) But there was no chess. Can sombody tell me where i can
download it or how to fix this problem.

-Thank You

I haven't heard this before, but the games included with Microsoft Vista
can't be downloaded, you simply have the games appropriate to your version
of Vista. For Ultimate you can download Hold Em as an optional download from
Windows Update (In the control panel)

If the game isn't listed in Windows Update then I guess Vista Basic doesn't
include Chess Titans.

Sorry bud, there's always:

Note: Might be wrong, maybe someone else will chime in with a solution
(short of paying for Home Premium).

AFAIK Chess Titans is not included with Vista Home Basic. You need either
Premium or Ultimate to get it.

Dell must be about the only computer supplier providing Vista Home Basic on
their PCs! Everyone else seems to have realised it's a pointless version and
avoided it. Says a lot about the demise of Dell over they years really.

Caveat Emptor.

Buzz!

Sorry, I'm at a Best Buy, we have Vista Basic on Sony VAIOs, Gateways,
eMachines, HPs, Acers, etc. You don't save that much, but I steer people
into them if they are just looking for an "Internet" machine, but I usually
can sell them on 1gig ram at least, and the best thing about Basic is if you
want to upgrade you can do it online.

Then I tell them, for about the same price you can get an iMac with
everything you need out of the box. haha. I'm not big into Mac, but those
things sell themselves once people realize they cost about the same as a
basic Vista box with monitor.

Vista Basic is not that bad. Personally I hate that all these editions
exist, but what can you do... Marketing, am I right fellahs?!

Haha.

Chess, get Chessmaster 10th Anniversery Edition, it was realeased like a
year ago, but it's a good program. I still have an old copy for Kasperavs
Gambit for my Atari 800 I could be persuaded to part with as well. ;)
