I have windows XP home service pack 2. I just bought a brand new HP pavillion
zv6000. When i click on user name under control panel and then click on
manage my network password, there is no add button. I need to have that add
button so i don't have to keep typing in my password for my Network
resources. What happen to the add button. I am pretty sure the home edition
should allow me to add network user names and password. I have the remove
and property button grayed out. This is totally super wierd. Tell me what i
have to do get this fix, because I need have this fix. It is too annoying to
type the password everytime i reboot.

XP Home Edition doesn't have the Add button. Only XP Pro does. I
wish that I had better news for you. :-(

Yeah, I really need to know if there is a way to store network passwords in
XP Home?? It keeps popping up to enter proxy username and password every time
and some programs cannot connect to the Internet because it takes its
settings from IE but does not show auth. box (such as Windows Defender)

What's the point of having this option (Manage Passwords) if no password
ever can be saved in it ????? This is one of the most irritating features of
XP Home .. It's really useless but I am forced to use it because it was
bundled with the laptop.
