themes and the sound settings are not retained and ginastub.dll not loading

Hi,

I have the following problem in winxp embedded

1. after i change the desktop themes to "Windows classic" and also
change some sound related settings in "sounds and audio devices", then
if i reboot the system and re-login the changes done are not reflected
back it revertes back to the old settings. I have enabled autologin
using a userid with administrative priviledges.

2. I customised the msgina.dll and have copied the ginastub.dll into
windows/system32 folder and added a registry entry at
hklm/software/microsoft/windows nt/winlogon GinaDll to point to
ginastub.dll, When i restart the system it throws up an error ""The
logon user interfece Dll GinaStub.dll failed to load".

Please somebody help me here.

2) Don't know about the problems you are having with your code since I haven't seen it. But easy and quick check - did you make it
to work on XP Pro first?

Anyway, you may want to try definitely working sample from CodeProject:
http://www.codeproject.com/useritems/GINA_SPY.asp?target=gina. At least it defines all the required Wlx entries and you can grab the
code for your own gina implementation.
