Theme is changing

For no apparent reason and what seems to be randomly, my theme changes so
that the default icons are shown instead of the custom icons I have set for
"My computer", "Recycle bin", etc.

It also resets sounds to default sounds so I have to change that back as
well.

How can I stop this from happening?
