still trying to find a solution to my problem

Need help please,

My cursor icon reverts back to the default icon whenever it wants too.
I've set the various cursor icons to my own personal theme and saved it as
"my theme", however, the arrow icon reverts back to the default icon on a
continual basis. This may happen 2 or 3 minutes after turning on the
computer or it may wait 30 or 40 minutes before it does it, but it will do
it. After this occurs I can go back in to the mouse themes and reset it to
"my theme" but it will change back to the default whenever it feels like it.
Has anyone out there ever ran into this before???
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

You might scan for a virus,the mouse curser sometimes acts and does
very unusual things if a virus is in the system.

If all else fails, uninstall the mouse driver, reboot and let windows
reinstall it.

Appreciate the respone, and even though I run a complete system check
weekly, tried it again. No virus infections and unfortunately it didn't
solve the problem either. Just to be on safe side, also tried Ad-Aware,
SpyBot and MS AntiSpyware, also to no avail.
