The Windows XP Recording Window under CD-RW (F
Properties has mysteriously disappeared on my computer. Can anyone tell me how to restore this window? Without this window, I am unable to "Enable CD recording on this drive" using this feature of Windows XP.
I am not certain exactly when or how this feature of Windows XP disappeared from my Windows XP system. I suspect that it happened within the past couple of months when I upgraded my CD-RW drive and its related Nero software first to an MSI CD-RW drive, and then subsequently to a SONY CD-RW drive with NTI software when the MSI drive would not work with a backup product called Backup MyPC. Somewhere in installing, uninstalling, and finally installing my SONY CD-RW drive, which uses NTI (New Tech Infosystems, Inc.) software, the Windows XP Recording Window was somehow uninstalled or removed from my computer. I subsequently discovered that this had happened when I attempted to run a special test using the CD-RW function that comes with Windows XP, only to discover that I no longer had this function.
So can anyone tell me how to restore the above Windows XP Recording Window under CD-RW (F
Properties on my computer? Could this be as simple as fixing some undocumented Windows XP Registry entry?
