"The Value for Appointment Status Is Not Valid" error message

Kevin

I keep getting a very annoying meeting reminder message
for a "ghost" meeting that exists in my Outlook 2002 (SP2)
calendar. When I try to open this calendar event
to "fix" it, I get 3 Microsoft Outlook error messages.
They are listed below at the end of this message. I
searched Microsoft's website and found a Knowledgebase
Article (# 813506) on this error message, but Microsoft
states you need to contact them to get the fix.

Does you have any suggestions on how to remedy
this "ghost" reminder??? Has anyone else experience this
annoyance?

Thanks in advance!

"Cannot open the item for this reminder. The value for
Appointment Busy Status is not valid. Check your code".

After I hit the "OK" button on the dialog, I try to
Dismiss the item, but I then get...

"Cannot turn off the reminder. You may be reminded again.
The value for Appointment Busy Status is not valid. Check
your code."

Followed by...

"There is an error dismissing the reminder XXXXXX.
Dismisss operation terminated."

The fix for this has been rolled into the next Outlook 2002 security patch.
I can't say for sure when this will be live on the site, but relativly soon.
