The TAB key no longer works

does anyone have any idea why of how to check the posible reason for my TAB
key will no longer work. This happened recently and just soon after I
downloaded the SP 2 for XP. This is a new computer and has been very
dependable so far.

If you have access to another computer, try plugging in the keyboard to the
other computer. Same problem? Keyboard bad and should be replaced under
warranty.

If the problem doesn't happen with the other computer does another keyboard
on the tabless computer solve the problem? If so, keyboard is probably bad.

Check the keyboard option in Control Panel to see if you have any feature
available to remap your keyboard or does the keyboard have any
programmability?. If so set back to defaults.
